Entrance Requirements for the BA in Enlightened Leadership

The following is projected for students entering the university in 2021-22 and is subject to change.

• In general, we require Bachelor’s applicants to have received a 2.5 GPA or above from the most recent institution they attended. Applicants with below a 2.5 may still be considered depending on additional qualifications.
• Applicants must either (a) have successfully completed a college-level composition course or (b) demonstrate college-ready writing proficiency in an online writing assessment.

Full-time on campus

This program is a full-time on-campus program, offered at our campus in Fairfield, Iowa. We do not have an online version of the Enlightened Leadership program at this time.

English language verification

If English is not your first language, you’ll need to provide official English proficiency test scores (from tests taken within the past 2 years) of at least 6.0 on IELTS Academic, 80 on TOEFL iBT, or 51 on PTE. This testing requirement does not apply if you have earned a full-time, on-campus degree from Canada, Australia, the UK, or the US within the past 2 years.

Transcendental Meditation technique

If you do not already practice the TM technique, MIU has a special TM course fee of $190 for students.

We encourage students to learn the TM technique before arriving on campus, but you have the option to learn upon arrival. Ask your admissions counselor for details.
